Vladimirescu: Churches, Ruins and Museums

In the center of the municipality of Vladimirescu, next to the Catholic parish church, are the ruins of a Romanesque basilica. The ruins reveal the floor plan of a cathedral with three naves and two towers.

Culture and History

The old part of Vladimirescu around the Catholic church preserves medieval architectural structures. The early medieval archaeological site “La Cetate” in Vladimirescu includes a necropolis from the 11th and 12th centuries.
