When comparing hotels in Corbeni, travel dates, room category and cancellation policies can be viewed side by side. These three details help you assess offers according to different criteria. They are independent of whether the focus is on culture, pilgrimage or outdoor activities.

Culture

Biserica Corbeni was built in 1743 and later restored during the periods 1918–1919 and 1943–1953. Curtea boierilor Corbeanu is a historic cultural heritage site in Corbeni. Vila Bordenache, a historic monument, is also located in the village. In Oeștii Pământeni, in the municipality of Corbeni, Biserica „Sf. Nicolae“ is dated to 1840. Also there, in Oeștii Pământeni in the municipality of Corbeni, Schitul Sfântul Ierarh Nifon și Sfânta Cuvioasă Teodora de la Sihla was founded on 11 August 2017. The building, cultural heritage site, monument and skete thus represent different cultural forms alongside one another.

Route and cycling

An easy, 12 km cycling route, Albești–Cicănești–Oești, runs through the municipalities of Albeștii de Argeș, Cicănești and Corbeni. In the area of the municipality of Corbeni, it includes Mănăstirea Sfântul Ioan Botezătorul – Antonești Monastery. The route length and its classification as easy provide two specific points of comparison for the activity. For planning your own day, cycling can be considered a separate focus alongside the historic and religious sites.

Pilgrimage

Mănăstirea Antonești is an important pilgrimage site of the Archdiocese of Argeș and Muscel and is located near Barajul Vidraru and the Transfăgărășan road. Mănăstirea Antonești is approximately 1 km from the centre of Corbeni and can be reached from Curtea de Argeș via DN 7C towards Transfăgărășan. The approximate distance to the centre and the named road connection describe two different spatial levels; they can be considered separately when finding your way around.

Tradition and festival

The “Tradiții Argeșene” Festival was held in 2023 in the municipality of Corbeni for its tenth edition; an event from 21 to 23 August was announced for a three-day edition in its thirteenth year. Interactive workshops on making traditional Opinci, weaving willow branches, blacksmithing and ceramics were announced for the festival. The festival offered or announced spit-roasted and cauldron-cooked dishes, as well as stalls operated by local producers. The announced crafts and the dishes mentioned place a different emphasis from the religious sites and the cycling route; when planning, these forms of regional culture can be given separate consideration.
