Năvodari between Lake Tașaul and Lake Siutghiol
Lake Tașaul forms the northern boundary of Năvodari, while Lake Siutghiol forms the southern boundary. Between them, the town has more than 6 km of developed beach area. The beach area, the lakes and the other destinations in the surrounding area provide different spatial reference points for planning.
Landscape and Coast
Windsurfing takes place along the coast of Năvodari. Năvodari's promenade provides a natural setting for walking and relaxation. Kudos Beach, Celsius Beach and Zoom Beach are located in the surrounding area. These three beaches add further destinations in the vicinity of the town to the developed beach area.
Windsurfing and walking or relaxation represent different types of activity. This makes it possible to combine more active and quieter periods during days by the water without presenting these options as a single experience.
The topics can be considered separately when planning the day: the beach area, beaches, windsurfing and promenade belong to the water and coastal area, while the cultural programme, theatre activities and the archaeological site represent a different focus. The mosque, churches, museum and zoo are additional individual destinations in the surrounding area. Comparing the options makes it possible to distinguish between active and quieter periods, as well as between contemporary culture, archaeology and other facilities, without presenting the places mentioned as a single combined offering.
Culture and History
Casa de Cultura “Pontus Euxinus” is a cultural institution in Năvodari. It was inaugurated in 2006. The ongoing cultural programme at Casa de Cultura “Pontus Euxinus” in Năvodari includes, among other things, theatre activities.
The Năvodari-La Ostrov archaeological site has significant archaeological potential for understanding the end of Eneolithic settlements in a landscape shaped by limans and coastal lagoons. This site complements the contemporary cultural institution with a historical and archaeological focus.
The Geamia Năvodari Mosque, the Biserica Ortodoxă Sfântul Gheorghe church and the Capela Ortodoxă de Rit Vechi Lipovenească Constanţa church are located in the immediate vicinity of Năvodari. The Expoziţia de Păsări Exotice şi de Decor Constanţa museum is located in the vicinity of Năvodari. The Delfinariu Zoo is also located in the vicinity of Năvodari. These destinations represent different themes: places of worship, the museum and the zoo can be considered separately from the archaeological site and the cultural programme.
The different names and institutions allow for thematic planning among the cultural programme, archaeology, places of worship, the museum and the zoo, without this having to become a single itinerary. This leaves several independent focal points for planning the day, while the coastal and beach destinations form a separate area.
Connection During the Season
The seasonal public transport service Traseul 4 ESTIVAL operates between Năvodari and Mamaia Nord from May to September. This period clearly limits the service to the months of May through September and thus distinguishes it from the landscape and cultural features described as being available year-round.
