MogoÅŸoaia Palace houses the Liana and Dan Nasta donation, a collection of comparative art comprising around 300 works. The palace thus combines a specific art collection with the historic rooms of the estate.

Culture

Around 10 temporary exhibitions of essayistic or contemporary art are held each year in the palace's ground-floor rooms and outbuildings. These exhibitions thus complement the collection permanently associated with the palace with changing presentations.

The Cuhnia, the former princely kitchen, is now an exhibition space. The Gheţăria is the palace's former ice store. Both rooms preserve their former function in their names, while the Cuhnia is now used as an exhibition space.

The Gheorghe Bibescu Chapel is the family necropolis of the last owners of the Mogoşoaia estate and their relatives. The Sfântul Gheorghe Church was built by Constantin Brâncoveanu in 1688. Thus, the ensemble brings together both the family history of the estate's last owners and a building dating from 1688.

Historic Grounds

The park, lake, orchard and historic garden cover 36.4 hectares and are designated historic monuments. Together, these elements form MogoÅŸoaia's extensive historic grounds, with the lake, orchard and garden each representing distinct features of the site.

The English park with Italian-style gardens was laid out under the direction of Martha Bibescu in 1921–1922. The grounds thus combine an English park type with Italian-designed gardens and a clearly specified period of creation.

The Serele Nicolae Bibescu are a French greenhouse complex dating from 1890 and are now used for growing flowers and for a visual arts education workshop for children. The greenhouses therefore reflect both their historical classification and their present-day use in the local setting.

Equestrian Activities

Academia Ecvestra Mogosoaia offers riding courses and riding lessons for children and adults of all ages and skill levels, under the guidance of instructors and trainers. This format is defined by instruction, the stated age groups and supervision by instructors and trainers.

Academia Ecvestra Mogosoaia offers organised rides for riders who can already control a horse from the saddle; the tours, accompanied by a specialised instructor, last up to 60 minutes. Riding courses and lessons therefore differ from the rides in requiring saddle control and in the stated duration of the accompanied tours.
