The Lăpușel–Mociar II settlement belongs to the second phase of the Suciu de Sus culture and is dated to the Late Bronze Age I–II.
Culture
The Orthodox church of Lăpușel was built between 1891 and 1894, replacing a wooden church built in the 17th century. Its interior paintings were executed in 1931 by Sziebert Sándor. The 24-metre-high tower has five bells, while the iconostasis was created by Aurel Berindean.
