The Planetariu Baia Mare opened in 1969 as Romania’s first public planetarium and offers dynamic and interactive audiovisual astronomical shows. It combines the Skymaster ZKP4 optical LED projector with the ROVER digital full-dome projector from RSA Cosmos. The digital projector was added in 2020; the hybrid system enables astronomical shows.
