History and Village Museum
A trip to Crasna offers several different themes: archaeology and village history, wine cellars and local customs, churches and a monument in the surrounding area, as well as mountains, a spring and activities. This allows daily planning to be tailored to personal interests, alternating between culture, landscape, wine-related experiences and activities.
Archaeological investigations at the Reformed Church of Crasna led to the discovery of 11 inhumations. More than 100 everyday objects, pieces of furniture and traditional costumes have been collected in the Crasna Village Museum. The Crasna Village Museum is housed in a former Jewish shop. In the central room of the Crasna Village Museum, a peasant interior from the Crasna area dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century has been reconstructed. Visitors interested in culture can plan a visit to the Crasna Village Museum and the churches independently of the landscape and activities.
Wine Cellars and Local Customs
Crasna has wine cellars that were built one or two centuries ago. The wine cellars in Crasna house wine barrels. A local custom in Crasna is for residents to walk up the hill once a week to fetch wine. When planning a trip, wine-related experiences can be considered as a separate theme alongside the village museum and churches.
Churches and Monument in the Surrounding Area
The Biserica Crasna church is located in the vicinity of Crasna. The Monumentul Wesselenyi Zalău monument is located in the area surrounding Crasna. The Biserica Reformată, Crasna church is located in the vicinity of Crasna. The Biserica Greco-Catolică Crasna church is located in the vicinity of Crasna. The four sites expand the cultural aspect of a trip beyond the village museum. When planning a trip to Crasna, the three churches and the monument can be considered separately.
Mountains and Spring
Măgura Bozna mountain is located in the area surrounding Crasna. Măgura Buciumi mountain is located in the area surrounding Crasna. Măgura Bodiei mountain is located in the wider regional surroundings of Crasna. Izvorul Bologuţa spring is located in the area surrounding Crasna. The differing geographical reach of the mountains is relevant when planning a day focused on the landscape in Crasna. The spring remains a separate landscape theme from the mountain-related sites.
Airfield and Running Competition
Aeroclubul Deltafly operates an airfield in Crasna and provides aircraft for flights with a powered hang glider or a light aircraft. The 2025 “Run to the Hills” running competition included special races for children. Activity planning can treat the airfield and the dated running event as two separate points of interest.
