Culture

The Kepeždanka folklore group was founded in Hájske in 1984. It is dedicated to preserving old Kepeždian songs, costumes and traditions. Its repertoire includes the Stará kepeždská svadba, Carnival customs and Christmas carols. The group’s cultural focus therefore ranges from a named wedding tradition and Carnival customs to songs for the Christmas season.

Several castles can also be found in the surrounding area of Hájske. These include Zámok Báb Castle, Šintava Castle, Kaštieľ Nebojsa Castle and Neogotický kaštieľ Castle. All four are located in the vicinity of Hájske.

Religion

Hájske has an old chapel dedicated to Ružencovej Panny Márie. The Kostol sv. Barbory church was built in 1841 on older Baroque foundations dating from the beginning of the 18th century. The church contains a Neoclassical pulpit and a stone baptismal font from the beginning of the 19th century. Thus, this place of worship combines a construction dating from 1841, older Baroque foundations and two named furnishings.

On the occasion of the feast of Ružencovej Panny Márie, a kepeždská púť pilgrimage took place in Hájske. During the kepeždská púť event, a procession led from the Kostol sv. Barbory church to the chapel, accompanied by singing and prayers of the Rosary. The church was the starting point and the chapel the destination of this procession.
