Kráľová Nad Váhom between the Váh, nature and culture
Kráľová nad Váhom combines a distinctive river landscape with protected habitats and unique cultural sites. The CHVÚ Kráľová bird protection area, which encompasses the cadastral area of Kráľová nad Váhom, is particularly characteristic. This natural setting is complemented by the location on the Váh, historic religious buildings, a traditional bell structure and events held as part of local community life.

Geographically, Kráľová nad Váhom lies in the Podunajská nížina on the right river terrace of the Váh, north of the district town. The Váh crosses the municipality from north to southeast. Part of the Kráľová reservoir lies in the cadastral area of Kráľová nad Váhom.
The CHVÚ Kráľová protected area is part of the European Natura 2000 network of protected areas. For birds, it is considered an important resting, wintering and roosting site. Thus, in Kráľová nad Váhom, the river and reservoir are complemented by the seasonal functions of a protected habitat.
