Vrbovce: Hiking, Orchid Meadows and Kopaničiar Architecture

The educational trail is 6.4 km long and has five stations. From Vrbovce, it can be reached via a blue-marked hiking trail. Both its length and the number of stations, as well as the marked access route, are therefore clearly specified.
One hiking trail begins in Vrbovce at the border crossing. Another leads around the Vrbovce reservoir and ends in Vrbovce; a different trail follows a paved road to Vrbovce and ends there.
For cycling, there is the easy, 3 km-long recreational cycle route 5321 to Ostrý vrch. From Ostrý vrch, there are extensive panoramic views of the Kopaničiar landscape and the entire surrounding area.
Culture and Architecture
The Vrbovčianska izba was established in Vrbovce in 2001 as a folk heritage memorial room. It presents traditional domestic culture, crafts, work and holiday costumes, as well as other historical objects.
Vrbovce has preserved the original architecture of the Kopaničiar settlements. Traditional folk architecture includes shared courtyards and several residential houses arranged one behind another.
The Evangelical Toleration Church of Vrbovce dates from 1784. The Church of Saint Elisabeth in Vrbovce is a national cultural monument. In the Šance district, the railway station building has a memorial plaque dedicated to Maruška Kudeříková.
