Its basement recreates underground spaces and shows coal extraction from manual methods to mechanized mining at the beginning of the 20th century. The exhibition also covers mine ventilation, the pumping of mine water, lighting, and the development of mine rescue services.

The Sklený sen open-air glassmaking museum introduces visitors to traditional glassmaking. Sklený sen offers guided excursions for families and individuals; glass products can then be purchased.

Králik’s Mill is over 200 years old and preserves its original milling machinery and equipment.

Nature

The ruins of Vršatec Castle are located in the Vršatské hradné bralo national nature reserve and are freely accessible to the public. An educational trail connects Vršatské Podhradie and Červený Kameň.

Pružinská Dúpna Cave is one of the oldest caves in Slovakia and is believed to have formed around 10 million years ago. An educational trail from the village of Priedhorie leads to Pružinská Dúpna Cave. The cave can be visited from May 1 to October 31 by prior arrangement with the speleologists.

Cycling

The Váh Cycle Route is one of the oldest and longest cycling routes in Slovakia and passes through four regions: Nitrianska, Trnavská, Trenčianska, and Žilinská.

The Trenčiansky Circuit is an easy ride on paved roads and is also suitable for recreational cyclists. The Trenčiansky Circuit cycling tour starts at the municipal swimming pool in Trenčín, where parking is available directly along the route.

Water

Boating, sailing, and fishing are possible at the Nosická Reservoir. The area around the Nosická Reservoir is accompanied by the developed Váh Cycle Route, making it possible to combine a visit to the water attractions with cycling activities.
