Kúty: Local History and Landscape on the Morava
The bell tower of Kúty was built in 1826 on the site of an earlier wooden bell tower.
Local history appears at different scales: individual buildings stand alongside districts, settlement forms and landscape areas. When looking at Kúty, specific buildings and characteristic local settings are therefore just as important as the surrounding area as a whole.
Culture
Historical local references include Kaniža, which is considered the oldest district of Kúty. In Dedina, on Bratislavská ulica, there are characteristic historic building structures. They are aligned perpendicular to the public roads; their courtyards lead toward the street.
The Majerská barn is the last partially preserved building of the Kúty manor farm. It dates from the reign of Maria Theresa. In the park in front of Kúty Primary School, there is also a sculptural group depicting Saints Cyril and Methodius.
Sacred buildings also mark the local history. The Church of Saint Joseph the Foster Father in Kúty is a Baroque church built between 1718 and 1726. It has side altars dating from the mid-18th century. In Za Kanižou, the Chapel of Saint Anne stands on the site of an earlier burial ground; the smaller, later building dates from 1852.
Nature
The cadastral area of Kúty encompasses the Myjava floodplains as well as the floodplains and terraces of the Morava. The area around the Morava also includes a site of European importance with enhanced protection.
A cycle path runs along the embankment on the Morava within the cadastral area of Kúty. It is connected to cycle paths in the Czech Republic and Austria.

You can also check the booking and cancellation conditions. These points show which services and costs are specified in each offer. Then compare only the information actually stated on the respective pages. It is also worth checking which occupancy an offer applies to and which type of accommodation is specifically listed. When reviewing the price, check whether it refers to the entire stay or to a single night. You can also separately check the exact location and the conditions for changes or cancellation on the respective offer page. This keeps the key differences between the offers comprehensible. If several price options are available, also check whether they are based on the same accommodation type and occupancy and whether taxes or additional costs are already included in the stated total amount. Differences in payment deadlines and refund rules can likewise be read directly in the offer details.
