Lošonec: Protected Areas, Hiking Trails and St. Anne

The Klokoč Nature Reserve lies in the cadastral territory of Lošonec, covers 21.59 hectares and was designated in 1996. It is situated in a landscape shaped by limestone and dolomite ridges; its massif consists of an exposed body of basic volcanic rocks known as melaphyres and forms an unusual, meadow-like backbone complex on eruptive rock.

The Klokoč Nature Reserve is home to grass and herb, shrub and animal communities; among other species, fallow deer, mouflon and roe deer occur there. The Čierna skala Nature Reserve covers 29.71 hectares and was also designated in 1996.

Čierna skala protects karst formations in limestone and preserved xerothermic communities; the natural forest and open-land communities there are interspersed with rock walls and scree slopes.

Hiking and Cycling

The Jahodník recreation area is the starting point for marked hiking trails to Čierna skala and Záruby; partly located in the cadastral territory of Lošonec, it is also the starting point for an access trail to Driny Cave.

Several marked hiking trails run through Lošonec and connect the Jahodník and Majdan recreation areas with Plavecké Podhradie. The Malé Karpaty cycling route runs through the foothills near Lošonec.

The church preserves a wooden pulpit featuring characteristics of late ornamentation and elements of the High Baroque from the period of the interior furnishings completed by 1753.

SAD Trnava provides a network of routes connecting Lošonec with the surrounding municipalities and the district town; there are three pairs of bus stops in the village.
