Terme Paradiso is a thermal spa complex in Dobova. The Paradiso oasis includes eight different themed saunas: a forest sauna, a herbal-salt sauna, a hammam, a chocolate sauna, a chromotherapy sauna, an infrared sauna, a steam sauna and a panoramic bio sauna. The offering therefore comprises eight types of themed saunas.

Culture and History

The Church of the Virgin Mary in Dobova was built in 1865 in the Neo-Romanesque style. It was destroyed during the Second World War and later restored. The base of the altar was designed by Jože Plečnik.

The Fašjenk Dobova carnival is also part of the town’s annual cultural life. It brings together more than 1,000 masked participants from Slovenia and abroad. Alongside this recurring celebration, the Monument to the Expelled in Dobova commemorates people who were expelled during the Second World War or had to flee to avoid deportation. The monument was unveiled on 7 June 2000. It bears the words “Spomin in opomin” (“Remembrance and warning”).

Nature and Animal Park

At the Na Jasi animal park, visitors can observe various animals and plants and receive interesting information about them. More than 250 animals live at the Na Jasi farm; visitors can pet some of them during their visit. Visitors can also take a walk in a designated enclosure at the Na Jasi animal park. The site therefore offers both the observation of animals and plants and a separated area for spending time among the animals.

Water and Activity

The rapids of the Sava are an attraction for nature, photography and adventure enthusiasts. Kayakers and other water sports enthusiasts are often present there, viewing the rapids as a challenge and an adrenaline-filled experience. The watercourse thus represents nature observation, photography and active moments on the water at the same time.

For cyclists, a 4.6-kilometre cycling connection links Brežice and Dobova. It enables safe cycling in both directions and thus provides a direct connection between the two places.
