Spodnje Gorje: Hotels and the Beekeeping Educational and Panoramic Trail
The Beekeeping Educational and Panoramic Trail begins at Fortuna in Spodnje Gorje. It runs from Spodnje Gorje along a quiet gravel road with scenic views towards the village of Višelnica. Jože Bernik’s beehive is the first beehive at the beginning of the trail. The Beekeeping Educational and Panoramic Trail offers views of the Karawanks, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, Bled, Radovljica, Kranj and the Ljubljana Basin.

Culture and history
The filial church of St Ožbolt stands in Spodnje Gorje. The church was first mentioned in 1501. It is designated as a monument of local importance.
A report from 1691 describes how 72 beehives were brought from the villages of Spodnje Gorje and Zgornje Gorje to pasture in the forests of Pokljuka. Thus, alongside the Beekeeping Trail, a historical account of the beekeeping of the two villages is also connected with the area.
The Jenskotova Chapel in Spodnje Gorje was moved 20 metres higher during the reconstruction of the road. The Marijina Chapel in Spodnje Gorje was consecrated in 1882 and has a polychrome statue of Mary with the infant Jesus and two angels in a niche.
Nature
A 1.6-kilometre-long, paved and secured path leads through Vintgar Gorge. Direct access by car to Vintgar Gorge is not possible; visitors can park in the free VINTGAR LIP car park and take the VINTGAR Shuttle e-bus to the visitor centre.
The catchment area of Vintgar Gorge lies predominantly in the municipality of Gorje and includes the settlements of Spodnje Gorje and Podhom; it also partly extends across the municipalities of Bled and Jesenice.
The children’s playground in Spodnje Gorje has a training structure with integrated play elements.

For planning around paths, Vintgar Gorge and cycling routes, the included services and any possible additional costs are also important points to check. Reviewing the full price helps compare the offers transparently. The booking and cancellation conditions can also be checked. This keeps the comparison limited to the specific information in each offer, without assuming additional features, availability or suitability for the stay.
