Within the walls of Tešanj Fortress are six permanent museum exhibitions. From the fortress, visitors can also see a panorama of Tešanj. This means that the site combines the presentation of permanently established exhibitions with a view of the town that gives the fortress its name.

Another distinctive site is the Sahat-kula of Tešanj. It was built in the 17th century below the old town of Tešanj. The Eminagića Konak is a traditional Bosnian house in Tešanj that was built in the 19th century. Traditional men’s and women’s clothing from Tešanj is exhibited in the house. Visitors can drink traditional Bosnian coffee or homemade juice from the Tešanj region there. The house, clothing and drinks represent different aspects of the same site: its architectural form, regional clothing and the traditional beverages offered there.

The Čaršijska Mosque, also known as the Gazi-Ferhad-beg Mosque, is located in the centre of the Tešanjska čaršija. Its complex comprises the mosque, a cemetery and the tomb monument of Ferhad-beg. The mosque was built around 1564 by Ferhad-beg.

The Centar za kulturu i obrazovanje Tešanj also organises visual arts programmes and exhibitions. The Tešanjsko proljeće event announced for 2007 was planned to include literary evenings, art exhibitions, concerts, theatre performances and discussion panels. The five planned formats range from literature and visual arts through music to theatre and include discussion panels. Literary evenings and discussion panels form the linguistic part of the programme, art exhibitions the visual arts component, concerts the musical component and theatre performances the performing arts component of the event announced for 2007, with its five stated programme items.
