Jahorina Hotels – 52 km of Ski Slopes and Night Skiing

Jahorina has a total of 8.5 kilometres of illuminated slopes for night skiing; 3.5 kilometres of newly illuminated slopes comply with FIS standards. The Jahorina ski resort has 52 kilometres of alpine ski slopes and 11 homologated ski slopes. It is served by 17 vertical transport facilities. The size details and classification of the slopes give the winter sports offering a clearly recognisable structure without summarising the individual areas.

Jahorina is home to evergreen forests and mountain springs. Several named trails lead through this landscape and connect different ways of exploring it. The “Trail of Love” is 2,513 metres long and leads through forests with forest streams, rapids and wooden bridges. It follows Bistrica Creek and crosses it at several points.

The “Olympic Trail” is a 4,203-metre hiking and cycling route and leads through the Jahorina weekend settlement. The “Trail of Health” is an 8,108-metre hiking trail and leads to the Hladilo cliff. The Sports and Recreational Trail is a 13,089-metre hiking and cycling route and leads to the summit of Ogorjelica.

There is also specific equipment for mountain biking: the cabins of the six-seater chairlift at the downhill mountain biking trail are equipped with bicycle carriers. An easy snowshoe hike leads across Gola Jahorina and along forest paths over the Kalaidža rock. The highest peak of Jahorina is Ogorjelica, at an elevation of 1,916 metres.

The “Olympic giant slalom” slope continues to bear this name. Competitions in women’s giant slalom, slalom and downhill skiing were held in Jahorina. The names and the disciplines mentioned refer to the sporting history without presupposing any additional historical events.
