Brodce: Hotels and Accommodations

Brodce lies south of Mladá Boleslav in a gently undulating landscape. The terrain is shaped by the Jizera Valley and woodland areas to the north and south of the cadastral area.

Culture and History

The Hradiště pod Vlčím dolem cultural monument in Brodce is a Bronze Age burial site. Its ÚSKP number is 35269/2-1778.

Brodce was first mentioned in writing in 1130; at that time, the settlement was named in documents of the Vyšehrad Chapter. Archaeological finds also provide evidence of the presence of the Únětice culture from the period between 2000 and 1700 BC.

Part of the buildings of the village brewery in Brodce has been preserved from the 18th century. The Church of St. Adalbert is located in the wider regional area around Brodce.

Townscape and Location

The historic part of Brodce has a regular rectangular street layout. Road II/610 runs through the center of Brodce.

Landscape

The hills U Kalu (Luštěnice), Sládkovský (Strašnov), Popluží (Jizerní Vtelno), and Pravý lánský kopec (Luštěnice-Voděrady) are each located in the immediate surroundings of Brodce.

Water on the Jizera

Water sports and canoeing are permitted on the section of the Jizera near Brodce. The section also features fishing grounds rich in fish, managed by the Pojizerský rybářský svaz.
