Sukorady: Hotels and Accommodation

Sukorady combines a historic village character with tangible traces of the past and selected amenities in the village. The Sukorady fortified site is located on the southeastern edge of Sukorady, on the banks of the Klenice. Archaeological finds show that the site already existed in the 14th century.
Village Character and History
The statue of Saint Wenceslas stands in a small park on the main road. It was unveiled in 1780 and reconstructed in 1998 and 2010. The monument is made of yellow, fine-grained sandstone from the Pojizerská area.
Another historic building is the forge in Sukorady. It is located at house no. 9 on the northeastern edge of the village green. The building dates from the first half of the 19th century and is oriented with its eaves side facing the road. The forge is considered a typical example of an architecturally simple rural Neoclassical forge.
Open Spaces and Recreation
Sukorady has a children's playground and a concrete sports court. The freely accessible Colmex outdoor fitness equipment is located in the “Pod topoly” area near the children's playground.
Surroundings
The hills “Na Vinici [Březno u Mladé Boleslavi]”, “Telib [Březno u Mladé Boleslavi]” and “Čihadlo [Husí Lhota]” are located in the immediate vicinity of Sukorady. Further afield in the region are Střelečská hůra mountain and Valdštejn Church.
