Culture and History

The present-day Church of St. Procopius in Budiměřice is a neo-Romanesque building constructed between 1879 and 1881 by J. Kalous from Poděbrady. At the latest since the first written mention of the village in 1374, Budiměřice had a Gothic church dedicated to Saint Procopius. The protected church grounds of St. Procopius include the church, its enclosure, and the associated plot of land.

Events and Sports

The first Budiměřický Budík run in 2020 was followed by a second edition. The second run began in Budiměřice by the church. The Budimky Cup programme included music for dancing and listening in the evening. The Prokopská zábava on Saturday evening, 5 July, was planned as a traditional summer dance event on an outdoor dance floor.

ATP Budiměřice manages a municipal tennis court in the sports complex next to the football pitch.
