Chotusice: Hotels and accommodations

A notable place in Chotusice is Kamajka, a protected natural monument with sediments from the surf zone of the Cretaceous period and an exceptionally rich fossil fauna. The abandoned quarries in Kamajka provide refuge for wildlife, birds, and amphibians.

Chotusice was founded in the 12th century as an accessory of Sedlec Monastery. The Church of Saint Wenceslas dates from the late 13th century and was rebuilt in the Baroque style. The statue of Saint Florian is an example of 18th-century Baroque folk art and depicts the saint pouring water from a vessel. The deanery in Chotusice was expanded in 1825; its façade was redesigned in the Empire style. The sandstone statue of Saint Donatus is a Baroque work from 1735.

Zadní kupa [Církvice-Jakub], a hill, lies in the vicinity of Chotusice. Zámek Kačina, a castle, is located in the surrounding area. The wider regional surroundings of Chotusice also include Krkanka, Hořánck, and Bučina, all mountains. Svatý Jiří, a church, is also located in this wider regional area.

In terms of physical difficulty, it is easy to moderately difficult, and technically it is slightly challenging; it runs on roads and easily passable terrain.
