Culture

St. Catherine’s Church was originally a Gothic church from the first half of the 14th century. It was rebuilt in 1888–1889; during the reconstruction, the nave was raised and a tower was built.

The memorial to the victims of the First World War in Chrást nad Sázavou stands on a hill above the Čerčany–Praha-Braník railway line. It was created on the initiative of legionnaire Antonín Štěpán and the local unit of the Czechoslovak Socialist Party. The memorial is a granite pylon bearing the inscription “Padlým a zemřelým 1914–1918”.
