Nature and Paths

The Lodenický stream, also known as Kačák, flows through Doksy. The Křivoklátské Forests end at the western edge of Doksy. The forests around Doksy attract visitors for walks focused on tourism and relaxation. The Drvotova educational trail runs through the forest near Doksy; it was established in 1982. Cycle Route No. 0018 runs through Doksy and continues towards Družec.

The Doksy u Kladna climbing area is a sandstone area divided into two sectors. It is located in abandoned sandstone quarries in the forests around Kamenné Žehrovice and can be reached from the football pitch in Doksy.

Water and Orientation

Dokeský Rybník is a body of water located at the confluence of the Loděnice and Rozdělovský streams in the cadastral area of Doksy u Kladna. Parking at Dokeský Rybník is permitted exclusively in the designated car park at the dam.

Culture and History

Přírodní divadlo Doksy is an open-air amphitheatre. It consists of a stage and three wooden buildings for catering; it is located on the site of a former sandstone quarry and operated from 1933 until the 1960s.

The fortification structure in Doksy is being reconstructed to its 1938 condition. Doksy is home to a reconstructed light fortification structure, Type 37 (A4/17/A-180), which originally formed part of the so-called Pražská čára.

The 19th-century rural mill in Doksy has survived without major alterations; however, its milling equipment is no longer present. The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk on the village green in Doksy dates from 1763.

High-quality sandstone from Doksy was transported to Prague as early as the 14th century and is documented as having been used in the construction of several important Prague buildings.
