East of Stehelčeves lies Homolka, an archaeological hill bordered to the north by the Dřetovický Stream.

Archaeology and Early History

Homolka is classified as a Category I archaeological area and as a significant archaeological site. The hill was a fortified settlement from the Eneolithic period, with a palisade, a two-metre-wide ditch, and gates. The site also includes a small early medieval burial ground.

Chronicle and Historical Evidence

A special volume of the Stehelčeves municipal chronicle documents life in the village since 1316. The first volume of the chronicle has been digitised and can be read on the municipality's website. Every year, Stehelčeves hosts meetings concerning the municipal chronicle, open days, and exhibitions.

The former chapel near House No. 1 was Late Baroque; it contained a Late Gothic statue of Saint Peter and a bell from 1736. The former well of Saint John the Baptist in Na Brůdku was the first stop during processions to the Church of Saint John the Baptist in the forest near Vrapice.

Landscape and Trails

The Stehelčeves educational trail comprises a large circular route with 13 stations. The large Stehelčevský okruh II circular route includes a station about the biocorridor, covering its establishment and significance.
