Drahenice: Hotels and Accommodation

Drahenice Castle originated as a fortress dating from around the 14th century; in the 16th century, it was expanded into the castle seen today. The two-winged, two-storey building has a mansard roof and a prismatic tower crowned by a dome.

The former manorial distillery in House No. 75 is a protected cultural monument within the Drahenice village heritage reserve. It is also an exceptionally well-preserved technical structure from the 18th century, whose central section still contains remnants of the original heating system.

The Drahenice-Račany village heritage zone comprises an ensemble of vernacular architecture. The protected Chapel of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows stands by the school in Drahenice. The memorial crosses at the entrances and access points to Drahenice were restored in 2010 and 2012.

Drahenice lies below the distinctive Drahenická hora elevation, whose highest point, Drahenický vrch, reaches 615 metres above sea level. Every year at Easter, the municipality organises a hike to Drahenický vrch.

The Jihočeská ochutnávka cycle route passes through the Račany district and through Drahenice on cycle route No. 8214, leaving Drahenice on cycle route No. 1062. As part of this cycle route, Drahenice Castle can only be viewed from the outside.
