Dunice: Hotels and accommodations
The circular settlement layout of Dunice suggests that a hillfort stood at this site in the 10th century. The first written mention of the place dates back to 1352.
History
In 1835, a mill stood on a stream in the center of Dunice. In the 1930s, a monument to those who fell in the First World War was erected in Dunice. The village has a historic chapel with electric bells. There is also an electrically powered mill, which was put back into operation in 1992.
Villagescape
Next to the chapel stands a 300-year-old lime tree planted to commemorate the abolition of forced labor. Dunice has a footpath with a footbridge over the stream. The village has a wooden bus shelter; the dance floor has been renovated. Above the village shop there is a sports room for young people.
Cycle route No. 0084 between Dolnà Kralovice and Čechtice is moderately difficult. It runs along Class III roads and designated-purpose paths, includes asphalt and paved sections, and is suitable for mountain bikes and trekking bikes.
