Křečhoř is directly associated with the Battle of Kolín, which took place on 18 June 1757. The village center is characterized by extensive agricultural farmsteads; the main axis connects the village square and the church.

Culture

The Památník Bitvy u Kolína is a monumental Neoclassical monument made of Hořice sandstone on a ridge near Křečhoř. A newly built staircase provides access to the monument commemorating the Battle of Kolín. The complex includes an ossuary containing the remains of soldiers found there.

The Church of Božího těla in Křečhoř was originally built in the early 14th century as a Gothic church and was rebuilt in 1846–1848 in the late Empire style. Its grounds include an active cemetery with graves and tombs. Early Gothic sedilia and a sanctuary have been preserved in the presbytery.

The hillfort site of Křečhoř is listed as an immovable cultural monument.
