Culture

A stone bell tower made of red Nučice sandstone dates from 1864. The chapel in Přehvozdí is a folk sacred building dating from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. It is integrated into a stone wall, has an oval floor plan, and a south-facing façade. On November 23, 1987, the chapel was entered under number 17670/2-3467 in the Central List of Immovable Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic.

The registered cultural heritage also includes the granary and the gate of farmstead No. 13 in Přehvozdí. Both are listed under number 38100/2–3466 in the Central List of Immovable Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic. A sandstone milestone from the 19th century adds to the town’s historic architectural landmarks.

Landscape

Přehvozdí lies in an open valley through which a local stream flows. A pond centrally located in Přehvozdí separates the historic farmstead development from the newer development to the north. Extensive forest complexes in hilly terrain surround the town; to the west, they extend from the Šembera valley, while the Obora complex reaches this far from the east.

The two Lípy u Přehvozdí lime trees stand south of Přehvozdí at a crossroads leading to Kostelec nad Černými lesy and the former Liechtenstein game preserve. On July 1, 1987, they were declared memorial trees. They are small-leaved lime trees whose age was estimated at approximately 220 years in 2020.

PID bus route 660 connects Český Brod, Doubravčice, and Kostelec nad Černými lesy and runs via the Přehvozdí and Přehvozdí, U Hřbitova stops.

PRZECHWOZD in Přehvozdí is a jumping center for miniature horses and a breeding facility for Falabella horses.
