Kamenný Most: Hotels and accommodations

Kamenný Most is situated in the valley of the approximately 25-kilometre-long Knovízský potok stream, which flows towards Kralupy nad Vltavou and then empties into the Vltava.

Landscape

The cadastral area of Kamenný Most consists of gently rolling countryside that slopes down towards the valley of the Knovízský potok stream. The stream crosses the area approximately from west to east.

Local history and culture

The Kamenný Most menhir is an approximately one-metre-high, upright stone made of iron-bearing sandstone. It is located about one kilometre west of the village, at a place called “U kamene”.

A memorial to those who fell in the First World War stands on the village green. It was unveiled in July 1923 and remains there to this day.

Fruit growing

In the second half of the 19th century, Kamenný Most was known primarily for growing apples and pears, as well as, in particular, the Dolanka plum.
