Krakovany: Hotels and Accommodation
Krakovany is home to the protected complex of the Evangelical Tolerance Prayer House. It consists of the prayer house, the Evangelical vicarage No. 34, the enclosing wall and the associated plots of land. The Evangelical congregation in Krakovany is listed in the Central Register of Immovable Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic under number 49723/2–4398.
Culture
Farmstead No. 28 in Krakovany has a very ornate gateway; the granary of the same farmstead is dated 1832. The Krakovany sandstone boundary stone originally marked the cadastral area of Krakovany and bears engraved points which, according to local tradition, represent a knife and fork, as well as possibly two hearts.
History
The former synagogue in Krakovany was probably built in 1863 and closed in 1906. It originally also served the religious needs of Jewish families from the surrounding communities; since then, it has been used as a storage facility and shed. The architecturally remarkable former Sokol House in Krakovany, dating from 1930, was converted into a cinema after 1950.
The Krakovany war memorial to those killed in the First World War was ceremonially unveiled on 1 May 1921. The Evangelical cemetery in Krakovany was established next to the Evangelical congregation in 1805; a mortuary was built in 1880. The German KORALLE Class I radar station near Krakovany and Uhlířská Lhota was constructed from the end of May 1944 until 6 May 1945.

The Krakovanská lípa continues to grow to this day; in 2009, it was measured at 27 metres in height with a trunk circumference of 256 cm.

A small animal show organised by ZO ČSCh Krakovany is scheduled to take place in Krakovany on 26 and 27 September 2026.
