Krivoklat: Hotels and Accommodation

Křivoklát Castle is a national cultural monument. During guided tours of Křivoklát Castle, visitors see a Late Gothic castle chapel as well as the Great and Small Knights’ Halls, with a thematic focus on the House of Habsburg.

Culture

The Křivoklát Museum is located directly on the Křivoklát castle grounds below the castle. It displays around 150 exhibits, including the complete series of mass-produced Jawa and ČZ touring motorcycles from the beginning of their production until 1959, models produced later, almost all versions of Jawa automobiles, Praga motorcycles, Pionýr mopeds, the Stadion, Jaweta and Babeta mopeds, and other special models.

Týřov is a ruin in the area around Křivoklát. The wider regional surroundings of Křivoklát also include Pravda Ruins, Karlštejn Castle and U Svatého Petra Church.

Nature

The Brdatka educational trail is known for its unique views of the Berounka Valley and has 17 information panels about the nature reserve as well as its fauna, flora and forest.

Tuchonín and Loustín are mountains in the area around Křivoklát. Holý vrch is a mountain in the wider regional surroundings of Křivoklát, while Baba [Křivoklát] is a hill in the immediate vicinity of Křivoklát.

Educational Trails and Open Spaces

The Křivoklát recreation and educational area and the forest playground can be visited at any time and free of charge; they feature a rope course, slides, climbing elements, a fire pit, information panels and a geological exhibition.

The Křivoklát school educational trail begins at the primary school in Křivoklát on the left bank of the Berounka. It is a circular route with eight information panels about forests, water, woody plants and animals; after completing it, visitors must return to the school.

The KO8 cycle tourism route passes through Křivoklát.
