Kvílice: Hotels and accommodations
The Neo-Romanesque Church of St. Vitus is the landmark of Kvílice and was first mentioned in 1366.
Culture and history
The present-day church was built in 1886 and 1887 according to plans by Rudolf Štech, following the fire that destroyed the earlier church after it was struck by lightning in 1884. The Church of St. Vitus in Kvílice is an immovable cultural monument.
The wooden bell tower of Kvílice houses a historic bell from 1613 and is probably the oldest surviving bell tower in the region. A legend associated with the Church of St. Vitus connects its bell with Odolen the Elder Pětipeský of Chýš and Egerburk, who had it made from an alchemical alloy.
The village is also documented in literature: the writer Václav Beneš Třebízský mentioned Kvílice in several of his stories.
Kvílice also has a well structure with a statue of St. John of Nepomuk. It is an unusually well-preserved monument of a folk character in the region and probably dates from around 1800.

The “Naučná stezka okolím Třebíze” educational trail leads from Kvílice to Třebíz and includes a total of eight stops covering the history of both places. A marked route runs through the valley of the Bakovský potok stream to Kvílice.
