Lidice: Hotels and Accommodation

The Lidice site was declared a cultural monument on March 3, 1962, and a national cultural monument by government decree on August 16, 1995. At the Lidice Museum, the multimedia exhibition “And the Innocent Were Guilty...” presents the lives and fates of the residents, the destruction of the village, and its reconstruction against the backdrop of important events in contemporary history.

Culture and History

The International Children's Art Exhibition Lidice takes place annually at the Lidická Gallery. The Memorial to the Children Victims of the War depicts 42 girls and 40 boys murdered in 1942.

Gardens and Landscape

The Lidice Rose Garden covers 3.5 hectares between the former and newly founded Lidice. It contains 240 varieties of roses and more than 24,000 rose bushes.

In addition to cultural programs, the Lidická Gallery also hosts concerts and theater performances. The Children's Gallery on the first floor of the Lidická Gallery offers programs for the youngest visitors. The interactive educational program “WHO IS BOB?” takes place at the Lidická Gallery and is aimed at preschool children and children in the first year of primary school.

The educational program “Building a New Lidice” takes place at the Lidická Gallery and in Lidice House No. 116; during the program, students build prototypes of new houses in Lidice.
