The Lštění hillfort has a preserved outer rampart. It is 200 metres long and encloses a triangular area of 3.5 hectares.
Culture and History
The Lštění hillfort was established at the turn of the 9th and 10th centuries and formed one of the boundary points of the Přemyslid domain. The Church of St. Clement, with an old dedication, stands on the hillfort. The Gothic Church of St. Clement was built at the beginning of the 14th century on the site of a former Slavic hillfort. Its bell tower is Baroque and covered with shingles.
The programme for 2026 provides for the Church of St. Clement to be open to the public every other Saturday from 14:00 to 17:00.
Trails and Surroundings
A 750-metre section of the circular trail runs along a narrow forest path at the Lštění hillfort.
Vepří [Přestavlky u Čerčan], Na Berance [Soběhrdy-Žíňany] and Meduná [Vranovská Lhota] are hills in the vicinity of Lštění.
Práče is a fort, Loreta is a church and Žebrák is a mountain; all three are located in the wider regional surroundings of Lštění.
Regional Cuisine
Hospůdka Pod Hradištěm serves regional dishes. During the summer months, outdoor seating is also available there.
