Louňovice: Hotels and accommodations

The Louňovice History Trail was opened on the occasion of celebrations marking the 600th anniversary of the first written mention of Louňovice. It comprises eight stations, is 6.3 km long, and can be shortened to less than 2 km by skipping the fifth station.

History and Craftsmanship

The historical connection between Louňovice and the surrounding villages and granite quarrying and stone masonry was a good reason for establishing the Kamenický Open-Air Museum in Louňovice. The open-air museum displays exhibits donated by residents of the municipality and loaned by the Muzeum Vysočiny v Jihlavě. Just outside the municipal boundary of Louňovice lies the Kaménka Quarry, which is connected with the foundation stone of the National Theatre in Prague.

Nature and Trails

Voděradské bučiny is a national nature reserve that includes Louňovice and protects an extensive beech forest. The area can be reached from Praha-Háje by regular suburban bus lines 381, 382, and 387.

The Voděradské bučiny area is easily accessible to cyclists and is crisscrossed by numerous cycling routes numbered 1, 0023, 0024, 0031, and 0085, as well as hiking trails. The Voděradské bučiny Educational Trail is 8 km long and has 8 educational stations.
