Water and landscape

The Krakovský potok stream rises below a forest in the western part of the Malinová municipal area and flows south. The Rybník Malinová pond is located on the Krakovský potok stream next to the road to Krakov. The Malinovský potok stream also flows through the built-up area of Malinová, across the village green; west of the village, it flows into the Krakovský potok.

Transport and routes

The road from Lubná via Malinová to Krakov is used by cars, pedestrians, and cyclists. A red-marked KČT hiking route runs through Malinová. There is also a bus stop in the village; on weekdays, there are approximately six bus connections per day.

Events in the village

Children’s Day took place in Malinová in 2021, 2022, and 2023. In 2021, the summer farewell celebration “Rozloučení s létem” was held, followed in 2022 by “Rozloučení s prázdninami”. In addition, a traditional “Myslivecké grilování” was held in 2021, and a “Myslivecké grilování” in 2022.

On September 13, 2025, a nohejbal tournament announced as the 10th edition took place at the children’s playground in Malinová.
