Culture and History

The Celtic stone head from Mšecké Žehrovice dates from the 3rd century BC. It was found in 1943 in a sandpit in the cadastral area of the municipality. The Na Libeni archaeological site is also located in Mšecké Žehrovice. It is an important archaeological locality containing remains of settlements, fortifications, and places of worship.

The Church of St. Martin acquired its present Baroque appearance in 1774. It has a rectangular nave, a pentagonal presbytery, and a sacristy. The church stands at the southern edge of the village square in Mšecké Žehrovice, near a small pond.

Nature

The Louky v oboře Libeň Nature Reserve was first designated on 16 June 1989. It is located in the vicinity of Mšecké Žehrovice and protects wet meadows and plant communities on white slopes.
