Městečko: Hotels and Accommodation

Městečko lies in the valley of the Rakovnický potok. The municipality of Městečko includes parts of the Křivoklátsko forests north of the village, extending to the upper area of the Klíčava Reservoir.

Nature

Křivoklátsko is a landscape with species-rich deciduous forests, deeply incised river valleys, rocky slopes, and a diverse variety of plant and animal life. The mountains of Loustín and Tuchonín are located in the vicinity of Městečko. The hill U Lípy (Městečko u Křivoklátu) and the hill Mečná (Městečko u Křivoklátu) are situated in the immediate surroundings of the village.

Near Městečko, the Brdatka Nature Trail runs along a hiking route from Křivoklát to Zbečno; it comprises 16 stations.

Culture and History

The Church of St. James the Greater was rebuilt from its original Gothic form into its Baroque form in the 1730s. The church and the enclosed plots of its grounds are protected. The church's older bell, St. Vojtěch, was cast by Jan Konwarz in 1497.

The granary at House No. 2 on Ohnicova náves in Městečko is a remarkable example of vernacular architecture in the Křivoklátsko region. Šimon Šíp is considered the figure of the last bearer of the Ohnivec servitude in Městečko; Alois Jirásek portrayed him in his novel “Mezi proudy”.

The historic railway station building of Městečko u Křivoklátu is part of the village's cultural heritage. Městečko u Křivoklátu railway station is integrated into the integrated transport system.
