Ledce: Hotels and Accommodation

Ledce combines traditional local features with a designated natural area and a new cycling connection to Dobrovice. Its distinctive features include specific sites, traditional local characteristics and cultural institutions.

Culture

The first written record of Ledce dates from 1249; at that time, the settlement was described as a vladyčí estate. The Chapel of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was built in 1873. The historic village square had four ponds named Nádržka, Mlíčník, Sádka and Návesní.

In the centre, a war memorial commemorates the victims of the First and Second World Wars. It bears the names of 34 fallen residents. As part of the Národní pouť, these events are commemorated each year with a memorial ceremony.

Theatre is also part of the local landscape. The open-air theatre in Ledce was built by residents in 1955 and is still in operation today. The active amateur theatre group stages performances every year for the surrounding area. The performances take place either in the open-air theatre or in the hall, which has a stage with full theatre equipment and a curtain.

Nature

The municipality of Ledce forms part of the landscape context of Jabkenicko Nature Park. The Ledce–hájovna protected area was first designated on 8 July 2012. It protects a summer colony of greater mouse-eared bats (Myotis myotis) in the attic spaces of the forestry lodge.

Cycle Path

The Dobrovice–Ledce cycle path was completed in April 2025. The approximately 6 km-long connection runs through the cadastral area of Ledce, follows a former railway trackbed and connects Ledce with Dobrovice.
