Mukařov: Hotels and Accommodations

Mukařov is connected by several trails linking the village with surrounding villages, literary motifs, and real-life locations. The area is also home to the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the local information centre with a gallery, as well as other cultural attractions and hills in the surrounding area.

Trails Around Mukařov

The educational trail In the Footsteps of the Stonemasons runs through Mukařov and forms part of a route through six villages: Louňovice, Struhařov, Svojetice, Srbín, Mukařov, and Žernovka. The Mikeš the Cat Trail is a 25 km route from Hrusice to Mukařov. The NS Mukařov-Žernovka educational trail is also listed as being approximately 1.5 km long.

The Mikeš the Cat Trail has 14 stops with information boards and excerpts from Lada's book about the cat Mikeš. Stone kilometre markers stand between the stops. The educational trail Along the Mikeš the Cat Trail connects literary motifs with real places where Mikeš's stories take place. The Journey with Mikeš's Passport takes place year-round.

Culture and History

TIC Mukařov is an information centre and gallery at Příčná 11 in Mukařov. The present-day Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built in 1890–1893 on the site of a medieval church. It is a single-nave, oriented Gothic Revival church with a polygonal presbytery and a prismatic tower.

The wider regional surroundings of Mukařov include Práče Fort, the Kinský Palace, the Golz-Kinsky Palace, and the Rudolfinum Gallery.
