Culture and history
Radim Castle was built in 1610 and, in its preserved condition, is one of the most vivid examples of a rural Renaissance residence of the lesser nobility.
Three main guided tours are offered at Radim Castle, including a special tour for children. The castle garden at Radim Castle is freely accessible during the castle’s opening hours.
The Chapel of the Most Holy Redeemer is a Neo-Gothic chapel built in 1891–1892 and consecrated in 1893; it is located in the park on the village square in front of the school. A sandstone statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands beside the entrance to the Chapel of the Most Holy Redeemer. Advent concerts for the residents of Radim are regularly held in the Chapel of the Most Holy Redeemer. The Baroque stone bridge of Radím was reconstructed after the floods of 2013. The old Slavic hillfort site of Na Šancích is located in Radím.
Nature
Lom u Radimi preserves evidence of the wave action of a Cretaceous sea, as well as numerous fossils of marine organisms. The Lom u Radimi natural monument was designated to protect an important paleontological site.
At Lom u Radimi, visitors have access to a covered seating area, a bicycle rack, and a waste bin. A plant community is protected at Stráň u Chroustova.
Location
Radim is located on the local Pečky–Kouřim railway line.
