Culture and History

The northern part of Ohaře in the direction of the church is an archaeological area from the High Middle Ages with documented or well-founded presumed archaeological finds. The Church of St. John of Nepomuk in Ohaře is a late Classicist rectangular church with a prismatic tower on the western façade. It was built in 1846–1848 on the site of a burnt-down Baroque church. A visit can be arranged by prior appointment.

Events

At Velikonoční pletení pomlázek, anyone interested can learn how to weave pomlázky; willow branches are provided for this purpose. The Masopustní karneval is a children's carnival in Ohaře. In addition, Pálení čarodějnic was announced for 30 April 2026 at 6:00 p.m. on the asphalt sports court in Ohaře.
