Prčice: Hotels and Accommodations

The location in the “Český Merán” depression defines Prčice’s geographical setting and connects the town with the surrounding landscape.

The historic center of Prčice developed around a manor founded by the Vítkovci in the 11th century. At that time, an early feudal trade route between Prague and South Bohemia also passed through Prčice; its course can be seen in the town’s layout.

The historic buildings include the Church of St. Lawrence. It is originally Romanesque and was founded in the 11th or 12th century. The Plague Chapel in Prčice was built after the 1680 plague epidemic at a burial site for plague victims.

Another link between history and the townscape is the Most Karla Burky bridge. It was completed in 1822 as a direct connection between Sedlec and Prčice and is a 200-meter-long Empire-style bridge with three arched openings.

The “Od vítkovské růže k zázračnému prameni” educational trail has eleven information panels with game elements. At the same time, it connects to existing walking trails and mostly old sunken lanes.

A designated 17-kilometer hiking route begins in Prčice and leads to Sedlec via ski areas and their viewpoints.

The traditional Prčické posvícení takes place from August 7 to 9, 2026. The “Pochod Praha–Prčice” march was first held on April 17, 1966, with the participation of Stanislav Rataj, who came from Prčice.
