Staňkovice: Hotels and Accommodation

The Ostašov archaeological area in Staňkovice is classified as a significant archaeological site in category UAN I. A medieval settlement stood on the Ostašov site and was described as abandoned in 1524. A glassworks was founded on the site of the former Ostašov settlement in 1715 and was probably closed in 1726.

Villagescape

There is a bell tower on the village square in Staňkovice. Nová Ves has a large Neo-Gothic chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Chlum has a statue of Saint Donatus dating from 1765. A newly restored war memorial to those who fell in the First World War and a chapel stand on the village square in Chlum.

Events

An annual exhibition of birds, poultry and rabbits, with an extensive programme for children, takes place in Staňkovice. The 2025 exhibition held in Staňkovice featured rabbits, pigeons, poultry, exotic birds and a beehive. The 2025 edition of the district sales exhibition for small animals took place on the grounds of the municipal office next to the bus stop.

Road 335 runs through Staňkovice on the route Mnichovice–Sázava–Staňkovice–Uhlířské Janovice–Zbraslavice. The nearest railway station to Staňkovice is Uhlířské Janovice, 3.5 km away.
