Bohdaneč: Hotels and accommodation

The Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary has a five-sided presbytery from the 13th century with a late Gothic rib vault. Its original structure also includes a richly profiled Gothic limestone portal with reliefs of human masks. The interior contains chandeliers from the nearby glassworks in Tasice.

The “Historie českého sklářství” educational trail around Bohdaneč is approximately 9.2 kilometres long and is considered physically undemanding. It has nine stops and includes a historic glass furnace where, among other things, the television series “Synové a dcery Jakuba Skláře” was filmed. In an ancillary building near the distillery, visitors can also learn about a large apiary. The Ostrov complex currently houses a museum of folk costumes.

The “Putování po vodních plochách” educational trail is 19.2 kilometres long. The Rozhledna Bohdanka observation tower is closed to the public. Bohdaneč is best reached by car; buses to Bohdaneč run only on weekdays. The nearest rail connections are via Zbraslavice, Ledeč nad Sázavou and Zruč nad Sázavou.
