History
The first written mention of Slavošov dates back to 1323. In 1549, the then owner Jindřich Firšic z Nabdína secured Slavošov's elevation to a market town.
Culture
The Marian column in Slavošov stands in the middle of the village square between lime trees. It is crowned by a small sandstone statue of the Immaculata; its front bears the year 1765 and a coat of arms.
The chapel with a bell tower in Slavošov has a square floor plan and a pyramid-shaped roof. The Church of St. Peter and Paul in Slavošov is already mentioned in 1350 in the register of parishes of the Štěpánov deanery and has a Gothic rib vault.
Geographical location
Slavošov is situated on a gentle southwestern slope and on the state road from the direction of Hradec Králové.
Hiking
A 15 km-long hiking route reaches Slavošov at kilometre 10.1 and then continues along a field path to Želivec.
