In Třebíz, the Národopisné muzeum Slánska is an open-air museum whose foundation consists of village buildings and their furnishings.
Culture and History
Protected buildings in Třebíz include the Church of St. Martin from 1754, the Chapel of the Holy Trinity from the 18th century, the monument to Václav Beneš Třebízský from 1892, and the buildings belonging to the museum.
The birthplace of Václav Beneš Třebízský is a memorial house dedicated to the writer’s life and work. It is one of three craftsmen’s houses that have survived as part of the village square’s original development. Memorabilia of the writer, including his works, are displayed on the upper floor.
Nature
The sandstone rock walls near the rock reliefs of Třebíz were probably created by quarrying. The rock reliefs include rock cellars carved into the rock walls and several reliefs that probably date from the 17th century. The best-preserved relief is a Pietà; next to it is a niche with a statue of St. John of Nepomuk.
Getting Around
The “Naučná stezka Okolím Třebíze” educational trail runs from Kvílice to Třebíz. It has eight stops that focus on the history of both municipalities and their significant buildings.
Bus route 389 runs from Třebíz to Slaný.
Events
Stalls featuring traditional Czech crafts, refreshments, and activities for children were planned for the Staročeský jarmark Třebíz 2026.
