Dřínov: Hotels and Accommodation

Dřínov combines visible local history with green spaces and memorial sites. Repairs to the Dřínov church began in 1902; the old brick bell tower just a few steps from the church was demolished three years later, in 1905. The village fortress also points to the past: it was associated with a knightly family known as the Lords of Dřínov.

History

Fields associated with Jan Poplužan are still known today as Poplužanská pole. The local tradition also includes the patriotic civic association Baráčníci Jana Poplužana, which was founded in Dřínov in 1937 to preserve old Bohemian customs, practices and traditions.

Memorial sites include a Dřínov war memorial from the First World War, located in a park on the village square, as well as a war memorial with a commemorative plaque in Dřínov.

Nature

Dřínov's pear orchard was included in a municipal project to revitalise settlement greenery. As part of this green project, fruit trees and ornamental trees were planted. Along the new path to Velký les, a total of 63 fruit trees and other woody plants were planted in April 2025. The pear orchard has hammocks and a pavilion.
