Tlustice is situated in a flat landscape. The municipality has a spacious village square with plenty of greenery and two bodies of water. The Stroupinský stream forms part of Tlustice’s natural cadastral boundary.

History and Culture

Tlustice was first mentioned in writing in 1320. In 1336, Tlustice was one of the villages associated with the dominion of Žebrák Castle.

The chapel on the village square in Tlustice is a cultural asset of heritage interest that is not included in the central heritage register. The Tlustice school building from 1937 is also a cultural asset of heritage interest that is not included in the central heritage register.

The Staročeské máje is considered a traditional event in Tlustice.

Activities

Letiště Hořovice Airport, which is used for sport skydiving, lies south of the built-up area of Tlustice. Wagrann Tlustice Riding School offers equestrian lessons.
