Kublov: Hotels and Accommodation

Kublov lies in the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. A prominent landmark of the landscape is Velíz: the “Po stopách J. L. Zvonaře” educational trail is a red-marked, 4 km-long hiking trail with an elevation gain of 164 m and leads to Velíz, which reaches an altitude of 595 m.

Nature and Trails

The “Lesní panorama Velíz” educational trail runs along the slope of the prominent Velíz hill and offers views of the Brdy and Křivoklátská pahorkatina. The “Zelená stezka – přes hřebeny” trail also passes through Kublov; it includes a marked turnoff to Velíz.

Culture and History

On Velíz above Kublov lies the protected heritage area with the Church of Saint John the Baptist and the remains of the monastery, including the monastery site. The area comprises the church, the vicarage, the mortuary, an agricultural building, the perimeter wall, the medieval monastery remains, and the monastery site. South of the aforementioned complex on Velíz, remains of monastery walls are still visible.

The park contains a monument to J. Zvonař dating from 1871. The J. L. Zvonař monument can be visited by prior arrangement. Zvonařova roubenka is also associated with the musician’s name; it is his birthplace and a typical example of Central Bohemian folk architecture from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.

The Staročeské máje festival took place in Kublov again in 2026 and included a Czech and Moravian Beseda.

The ruins of Týřov and the U Svatého Petra Church are located in the immediate vicinity of Kublov. Holý vrch mountain is located in the area around Kublov.
